ScentDia is the world’s first social robot with olfactory sense, created through a collaboration between experts in robotics, philosophy and art.

More than a robot, it’s an interactive artwork that redefines human-robot interaction through scent.

Developed by Mari Velonaki, Manos Gerakinis and Luisa Damiano, ScentDia promotes connection over substitution in social robotics, with applications in healthcare, personal assistance, marketing and entertainment.

Following its debut at the National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo Da Vinci in Milan, ScentDia continues to inspire innovation in human-machine interaction.
